The Philosophy
Family-owned,
community-rooted.
Owner Ming Chen first discovered his love for sushi working under his uncle at a beloved restaurant near UT Austin. Rather than return to a desk job, Ming and his wife Tutu opened Sushi NiNi together in 2009 — and have cared for it with dedication, heart, and a commitment to quality ever since.
In August 2021, the restaurant was damaged by fire and had to close. With the support of family, staff, and loyal customers, Sushi NiNi rebuilt and reopened in June 2022. Like a phoenix, it rose and shined again.

We stop seating guests 30 minutes before closing. Takeout orders are available until closing time.
